Commentary Care of Northwest Grain Growers

Wheat futures are up sharply this morning due to a combination of factors, still dry in Russian wheat areas, concern about tensions in the Middle East, and Russian attacks on Odesa grain facilities over the weekend.  Futures were only up 6-7 early this morning but surged higher once the markets started trading this morning, not sure exactly why as it doesn't seem that there's been any additional attacks this morning or anything.  Just a real lack of desire for the market to be short futures until it rains in Russia most likely with the other issues adding to the sentiment.
